Boot stay thread size?
Does anybody here know the size of the three screws which hold the boot stay to the body? I seem to have "hidden" mine somewhere and need three more (anybody got some spares?).

Re: Temporary oil light wiring for start up.
OK, that's what I thought. How long before the light should go out after start up?

Temporary oil light wiring for start up.
I am soon planning to start the engine in my minor, after stripping and reassembling it. I want to rig up the basic starter wiring to get it running first, as there's no loom in the car yet. I want to have an oil light for safety in case the worst happens. How do I wire it up? Is it wire from sender...

Re: Exhuast straps
Correct. ESM sell the metal parts separately. I'll be making my own though, I'm not paying one pound bloody fifty each for thembmcecosse wrote:Yes - that's the 'norm' - but not from ESM it seems....

Re: Exhuast straps
Whatever ESM gave me.
I think, looking at the diagrams, I just need to fab up some angled brackets to join the clamps to the straps.

Exhuast straps
Just bought some new exhuast straps for my Minor. I removed the exhaust a couple of years ago and, now I have the pipe lifted into place, I need to hang it on the straps. Does anyone have a picture of how these rubber straps actually fit? I know they use exhaust clamps to attach to eh pipe, but wher...

Relay shaft fibre bush orientation
Does this bush go with the recessed part facing into or away from the gearbox? can't tell from the diagram.

Re: Head stud washers?
Thanks, I am talking about the head studs under the rocker cover, not the pedestal studs. Should there be washers (no.100) under both long and short head studs? And another thing occured tom me. I had an engine steady fitted, should there be a washer or a spring washer under that rear outer corner s...

Head stud washers?
I have changed the head gasket on my 1967 Minor engine. One of the studs under the rocker cover had a spring washer rather than a plain washer on it, and another had no washers except the locking tab on the front most pedestal; both instances I imagine are wrong. Do the four head studs under the roc...

Re: Door bottom seal location?
OK, I think I get it. So it goes clips EXC112 to rubber EXC110 (after holes are made) and these through the metal square-holed strip EXC140, and all this together clips into holes I need to drill in the door bottom inside edge (LH side in my first picture)? EXC145 and the seal strip EXC122 are just ...

Door bottom seal location?
I have a question regarding the door seal which runs along the bottom of the front doors. I have repaired both door bottoms of my '67 2-door saloon and consequently need to replace the seal and metal C channel which goes along the very bottom edge, underneath, as pictured here: [frame] http://mmoc.o...

New headlight to wing clamp rings??
Where can I get new ones from? Its the part which goes inside the front wing which the headlight assembly screws into. ESM do complete kits which I would rather not buy, and they don't appear to include these rings anyway. Do they come on new wings. Mine were bodged, as can be seen by the headlight ...

Re: Different sorts of top trunnion pin?
Thanks very much, that puts my mind at rest. The threads on the new ones are the same UNF threads as the old ones; the nuts interchange. Those shown in your picture are identical to the new one I have received. Should fit my '67 saloon then.

Different sorts of top trunnion pin?
I had one top trunnion pin (damper to upright pin) which had a damaged thread for the nut, so I bought a NOS replacement, but it seems to have a slightly smaller diameter washer in the middle than the ones which came off the car. Will this still be OK to use or is it for a different/earlier car or v...
