Clutch pedal shaft thread size

Post by stroprock »

Anyone know what size the castellated nut on the clutch shaft is? New clutch pedal came with no nut and the old pedals one doesn't fit??
No.8 in this diagram

Well if the old nut doesn't fit, it would only be a guess as to what the manufacturer decided to put on! My Guess would be a metric size, possibly M8 or M10. Why not take it with you when you go to an accessory shop for the nut?

Should be 3/8" BSF.
Have you run a tap through the nut and a die down the threads.
It may just be a picked up thread.
I have just checked the thread on a new pedal assy and that is 3/8 BSF.
