Had a very similar problem with my landy, it turned out to be the earth connection for the headlights.

Re: DVLA download of all Taxed and SORNed vehicles

Remember that the lists above also do not include vehicles like mine that are currently in existance but not registered with the DVLA... There must be a good few hundred in the same state as mine. You will also get the ones that are no longer anything more than a set of documents hidden in peoples h...

Re: smiths volt meter

Assuming the guage is a second hand one the extra wire was probably just there to feed another guage, only one wire needs connecting to each terminal. One wire from the "+" terminal to the Ign. live and one from the "-" terminal to an earth point. If there is a backlight, simply ...

Re: Number Plate

Depends upon the cars age, I think its basically that anything registered before January 1st 1973 is allowed to use them. The pressed Ali plates are becoming slightly more difficult to find, there are loads of people who sell them but the quality of most of them is naff... The cheap nasty ones are a...

connect it into one of the ignition feeds from the back of the ignition switch, use one of the piggy back spade connectors (Crimp terminal) to save damaging the original loom :-)

Re: 1966/7 traveller project.

Re: Where does yours live?
