Re: Wheel nut covers
The wheel nut covers shown are the sort of covers I need the only thing is they are either too loose or won't go on. I might go down the route of mg chrome nuts instead.

Wheel nut covers
Hi all, does any one know where to obtain chrome style wheel nut covers. You can get 17",19"etc (but not 19"). I have mg midget wheels with the standard moggie nuts and want to smarten the wheels up a bit more. Before anyone says I shouldn't use the standard nuts on my wheels, the wheel...
Re: Car show
No it's just turn up,albeit if you are pretty much there when it opens you will be able to park in the first field, but otherwise there is a space in the adjacent field it's free as every time I've been it has. There are oodles of very eclectic cars that's at least 20 years old or more. It's just a c...

Re: New cars/old cars
Yes totally agree with you on getting old parts refurbished, but some people like the idea of new bits and pieces and I won't knock them for that ,each to their own as they say. I got loads of second spares for Daisy a while ago and with patience knocked together two carbs ,a spare dynamo and starter...

New cars/old cars
Hi all,we all know owning an old car can be physically and mentally challenging, but one thing is usually certain is parts etc are usually relatively cheap. I bought two keys as spares for Daisy the moggie and got change from a tenner, whereas my modern Hyundai has just released my wallet of £140 for ...

Re: Clutch
i reckon all courtesy had gone in most of these garages as I'm sure I'm not the only one who has heard titters and sniggers off the younger mechs who can't get there childish heads around the fact that people actually enjoy old cars instead of driving around in brainlessly fast cars. Remember,we are...

Re: Clutch
I do the same thing with the moggie now when it needs tyres, tell them to tighten the nuts using a brace as I had the misfortune of one of the 'expert tyre fitters' shear a bolt with the windy gun and told me I would have to wait a week for a new bolt to come through. Needless to say I told them I wo...

Re: Clutch
It's a shame really as there was so many good blokes(and ladies) who could do things with there eyes shut and no sucking in of air in shock. I honestly would love to do the job myself, but as I say circumstances are different now and would willingly travel to get the work done, what this space I supp...

Clutch
Where have all the old school garages gone,I need to have my clutch changed soon and all the modern clutch centres either give you an odd look as if you have three heads or dismiss it immediately without thought. In my younger days I would have given it a bash myself, but alas nowadays I don't have t...
