Re: 322 UXG

I’m a bit reluctant to ask but can you explain what constitutes a Dual Personality Minor, the use of the term seems to have appeared out of the blue here recently. As rocco has directed you, the DPM website tells you all you need to know. It is indeed a register to record as many surviving Minors a...

Re: 322 UXG

Just checked the VIN and details on your website. It is definitely a phase 1 De-Luxe. Great stuff. The original speculative post gets better and better, eh? :D You'll have seen that I've approved your application to join the Dual Personality Minors F/book group. When you get chance, please submit a...

Re: 322 UXG

Indeed it is great to see a positive outcome from a ''A bit of long shot but does anyone happen to know the whereabouts of......'' type of post. I will declare a further interest here too, as if the '1963' reference relates to its date of manufacture and not just when it was first registered, it's a...

Re: Succession Of Minor Gremlins

Great to have another Moggy from 'down under' on the DP register. You've worked really hard to recommission and improve your car after such a long time effectively in storage. Regarding the crusty water galleries, I found the use of citric acid very effective in clearing my tubes....so to speak! :D ...

Re: Other drivers...

The biggest problem we have is the BMW/Audi/Merc types sitting behind us................. My experience Berni, is something of the polar opposite. I too keep to an orally comfortable 50/55mph, wherever legally possible and hold my own in commuter-type traffic but I find that (and I'll generalize he...

Re: Just Joined With Almost Complete Project

Welcome indeed. I'm thinking that you may have a so-called 'Dual Personality' Minor, given the '63 year of manufacture.

I've sent you a PM......which tells you all you need to know! :)

Re: Dual personality

Is there a contact for the dual personality group please? Indeed there is good Sir. I am the Joint Registrar for the Dual Personality Register. We have a very active Facebook group under 'Dual Personality Minors' and there is a website : https://www.dualpersonalitymorrisminors.co.uk/ You can always...

Re: Noise from the rear end!!

AN UPDATE........AND A RESULT. No longer any strange noises from the rear end - and my Moggy is nice and quiet too. :D I think it was merely coincidence but the very first time I had 3 passengers aboard, the exhaust strap that supports the tailpipe, decided to break. For the last couple of miles hom...

Re: Slight 'growl' under acceleration

Firstly, many thanks gentlemen for all your helpful suggestions and responses. I apologise for not responding myself sooner........but life seems to have got in the way! :) To be fair, only today, have I had the chance to take the car for a spin. There is a 70mph dual carriageway about 3 miles from ...

Slight 'growl' under acceleration

I'm probably fretting over nothing (as per usual) but on the way to and from the National, my ''62 1098cc saloon covered more high-speed long miles than it has ever done before - certainly in my tender care. The car went far better than I could have expected really, baring in mind that it was fully ...

Re: National Rally 2024 - Feedback

It was my first National and I thought it was fantastic! Much of my time was spent on the Dual Personality Register stand trying to promote awareness of and attracting new entrants onto the DP register.....and I'm happy to report that success was achieved in both areas. The fact that the rally took ...

Probably a bit late now, as the separate indicator lenses have been fitted to both cars featured in this thread but if it is of interest, you might like to check out the Dual Personality Minors Facebook page.https://www.facebook.com/groups/dualpersonalitymorrisminors/ Under the 'Files' tab I have gi...

Apologies for hijacking this thread but I would like to invite the OP to check out either the Dual Personality F/book page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/dualpersonalitymorrisminors/) or the website (https://www.dualpersonalitymorrisminors.co.uk/) as I'm pretty certain you have a so-called Dual Pe...

Re: Dual/Split Personality Register

This is a picture of my DP 1964 traveller with duotone interior and glovebox lids, as far as I know this is how the car came new in 64, is this incorrect then? The short answer is......I don't know! I found nothing from what I inherited when setting up the register (which was basically diddly squat...

Re: Dual/Split Personality Register

Alan I was reading the description on the website and it says open gloveboxes mine has hinge down lids. Yes, as others have commented, there will but a handful of truly original (i.e. as they left the factory) cars left. Indeed, my own Dual Personality Minor does not have duotone seats, as when the...

Dual/Split Personality Register

I thought it would be a bit unfair to hi-jack a recent topic 'Minor Seats'.....particularly as I have nothing meaningful to contribute to the OP's original question but reading the subsequent posts did remind me that since my post on the Dual Personality Register, I have omitted to mention that in a...

Re: Noise from the rear end!!

Many thanks, gentlemen for your helpful thoughts and suggestions. Apologies for my slightly tardy response but I had my Covid 'booster' on Tuesday and apart from my upper arm feeling as though it had been kicked by a horse, I was generally feeling a bit rubbish, until today. Before I go on to sugges...

Noise from the rear end!!

Hello guys 'n gals - I've been plagued for ages with a noise coming from the rear......er, settle down at the back and the rest of you, just behave and stop making your own jokes up. :D Seriously though, on my 4 door saloon, I can't seem to identify a clonking sound definitely coming from behind me,...

Re: Inter Club Weekend

I too am not averse to multi-club events but I can't see this being promoted much by the MMOC, as it is taking place on the same weekend as our own National Rally at Gaydon. It will be my first visit to a 'National' where I will be manning a stand to promote the Dual Personality Register.
