Stiff Passenger Door Hinge

Hi - on my 1962/3 4 door, the passenger door has become incredibly stiff. Car was not used for a couple of yrs and sat out. Guess I should lubricate the door hinges - wd40 or something else? I know a v basic qu!! thank you!!

WD40 is fine, depending on how stiff the hinges are, you might be better off using penetrating oil first, and moving the door to and fro. Hopefully the hinges are still serviceable.

WD40 to get it moving then apply a squirt of 3 in One oil to keep it lubricated. Remember- WD40 stands for Water Dispersant 40 days.

Once it's freed up, use spray white grease. I have a can used for all locks, catches, hinges, battery posts, etc on all cars in our household.
It's what car dealerships use when doing a service.

Yes I use that too but don't be too liberal with it or you'll get grease over your clothes whenever you go anywhere near the car. Always happens to me when I'm wearing light coloured clothes and although the grease may be white when it comes out of the can it's always a filthy colour when it get on my clothes.
