Oily gunk in radiotor

P.S. There also seems to be oily gunk in the radiator water. It collects around the filler cap.

possible head gasket, r u in the AA , call em out for a breakdown ,theyll tell u whats wrong

well it sounds like head gaskit what is the oil like and oil filler cap

Dark brown sludge in radiator, but fine in proper oil place.

another question have you can you run it up with out the rad cap on then see if it bubbles up when you switch off if this is the case its poss you could have a crake on the head as well (i found out the hard way ) mine was the same head gaskit went then it craked the head but saying that it could be that i had a week head nether know

If matts gonna come and have a look at your car anyway, get him to have a quick look and see what he thinks. Sounds immediatly like blown head gasket to me, possibly a crack somewhere

If it's running ok - just overflow the gunk and then see if it re-appears. Come Spring - drain and flush the system and refill.
