Oily gunk in radiotor

Post by fablovely »

P.S. There also seems to be oily gunk in the radiator water. It collects around the filler cap.

Dark brown sludge in radiator, but fine in proper oil place.

If matts gonna come and have a look at your car anyway, get him to have a quick look and see what he thinks. Sounds immediatly like blown head gasket to me, possibly a crack somewhere

If it's running ok - just overflow the gunk and then see if it re-appears. Come Spring - drain and flush the system and refill.
