For the rear bearing nut a 1 7/8 AF socket is a good fit have just replaced both rear wheel bearings on my 1968 traveller using this size socket. I bought mine on eBay about £3 if you order them from a motor factors they are about £15 there is one advertised at the moment on ebay.

they can be difficult to undo.
i dont like using impact wrench's on the minor, but this nut is one that may need it. they are also usefull on the cam shaft nut.

Chisel plus hammer = impact wrench. Usually comes away easily - in fact often loose ! Never had any bother with the cam nut either. However the starter dog - now that can be a tight one.

Chisel plus hammer = impact wrench
Vandals! though each to there own.
I bought an impact socket as it has only six sides, then machined the face flat to remove the chamfer, so that i get a good engagement then I use an ordinary ratchet. No need for an impact gun or a chisel.
Some vandal had previously removed these nuts with a chisel, as well as the sump plug in my diff. I suspect they lacked the correct tool.

Yes it is rather irritating to come to undo a nut with the correct tool and then have to undo some of the 'butchering'

so that you can undo it properly...

1 7/8 AF
I seem to remember that Harry Mango has a ring spanner for that one..
It was certainly the biggest one I'd seen in a while
