Whatever the program was, it was recommending a specific type of brake pad by a specific company, which had been proven to give the same stopping performance / distance to stop, on the standard drums as if the car had a disc brake conversion fitted.
I also recall that when I looked the company up, they had already gone bankrupt.
I wondered if anyone knew if there were still such pads available by other manufacturers, all I can remember is that it was the material they were using on the brake pads was the real reason for better stopping power.
So, just curious if this were still a thing.
