I tried my 33mm socket and it slips and may have rounded off the edges a little. My 32mm doesn't fit. 3/4 Whit and 7/8 BSF are actually little bigger at 33.02mm, no? A bit stumped.

Hi folks, trying to replace my timing chain at the moment but having trouble getting the large nut off.
I tried my 33mm socket and it slips and may have rounded off the edges a little. My 32mm doesn't fit. 3/4 Whit and 7/8 BSF are actually little bigger at 33.02mm, no? A bit stumped.

This was discussed in great detail a few days ago - do you not read the threads ? The answer is to NOT use a socket (especially one not the correct size
