Just bought my first Minor. Been interested in them for a long time, but been focused with my Mini obsession for a long time, owned 9 so far.
After my 1972 Innocenti Mini was destroyed by an inattentive SUV driver in March I decided to buy something that was special. I have always dreamed of a lowlight or split window Minor, but they don't show up too often. Looking around at the online classifieds I came across a '54 Hillman Husky that I thought would be fun, however the guy was also selling a '67 Minor. After a deal was hashed out , he decided not to sell his Minor. I then looked again to the online classifieds and found my dream car. It is a 1950 New Zealand built CKD car and is all original with no rust.
Going to keep it all original, but will restore it as I go along. I will go a little off original with a Maroon interior from Newton Commercial. I even found another flathead motor and transmission with a 1953 Minor attached to go with it so I am going from 0 Minors to 2 in no time
