Post by wurlitzer »

I've bought a 1959 convertible and the ignition key doesn't fit the boot, the ignition key is FP and won't go into the lock,a FS key will, the number stamped on the bar is 924 so would I be right in thinking I need a FS924 key,any idea if any online suppliers sell them. Also the rubber boot stay clip is perished I don't suppose they make them, anyone any ideas.Does anyone have a spare series 2 clip I can use
Thanks

The key should be available through most Minor parts suppliers or companies advertising on the net.
The same key should fit all the locks so maybe your boot lock has been changed

Brian,
FS keys available from this eBay seller
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wilmot-Breede ... 58a5c5792d
and your "bar" number is within the range of numbers that he has got.
Or take a look at
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Precut-Classi ... 0494419287
George.
