hi , i have a clunking noise coming from what sounds like inside the passenger door , stripping off the panel there is nothing loose etc . exhaust is solid , no apparent play in any wheel bearings and trunions . When i carry a passenger the noise goes away by at least 70% as if the extra weight dampens something , any suggestions where to go from hear

It could be the exhaust banging the bulkhead when the engine rocks.

Could be rear spring bushes and/or damper link arm bushes.. or something rattling about under the rear seat ??

Take it off and have a good look at it! Just a thought....... check the front damper securing bolts are good and tight -and I suggest drain the oil from all the dampers and refill with SAE 30 or even better SAE 40. Empty dampers rattle !!

no harm in trying that but the front suspension is quite firm with no rattles when bounced hard , but will do anyway its been a job on my to do list
