When re-fitting a new master cylinder should I fit it with the long bolts through from the outside (torsion bar side)? Or through from the centre of the car, with the nuts on the torsion bar side?

Originally the bolts went in from the T bar side - many turn it round for ease - but make sure the bolt doesn't foul the T bar.....

Ok, so to be on the safe side considering its a new mc, so touch wood wont need changing anytime soon, it would be safer/ easier to mount them through from the T bar side as to avoid any possible rubbing issues?

better safe than sorry - I've seen many cars where the torsion bar has grooves worn into it by people putting the bolts t'other way round.
Even if they may be clear when you fit them but the torsion bar moves under load. That's why the bolts were made with thin heads.
