ive got to replace my boot after backing into sanother car, im replacing it with fiberglass but its not got any holes drilled, how long does it take to drill and fit one and is it a job i can do by myself, also how hard is it to change the rear wings, but my inner wings are a bit rotten,
thanks tom

If the inner wings are rotten, then the mounting bolts may be rusted into the captive nuts and the rusted nut and bolt just turn and turn in their cages! Lots of penetrating fluid and possibly mole grips to grip the captive nuts while you undo the wing bolts with a socket. If you have to do that to each bolt then it could take a while, plus, while the wings are off, I would repair the inner wings if as you say they are rotten. Also, the wing mounting flange may very well be rusted all the way through and require replacement. So a simple replacement of the rear wings to be done properly could very well end up as a bit of a project with the car off the road for weeks.
Oh, and I know I keep banging on about it here, but having the right size spanners and sockets (1/4 WHITworth) really plays dividends when you are attempting to undo rusted on wing mounting bolts.
I can't comment on drilling of the fibreglass boot having never done, one, but see if you can find a good 2nd hand original steel bootlid or if you can panel beat out the dents on yours.
Some pictures please!

Just had my back wings off, major job freeing the bolts, and now a LOAD of welding to be done.[frame]

Hey, I had a nice patch to do that looked about exactly like that in the same spot.

It wasn't awfully difficult, I guess, but annoying to shape properly, because of the weird geometry of that section.
Or maybe that's just me!

Will it end up the same color as the rest of the car, or will you leave it white? Sorry if that's an obvious question.
