Fuel system modifications

Hey all, im building a silly project that includes injection. I already have all the management sorted but whats the best wasy of managing the high pressure supply and also return line?
Could I use the tank to flood a fuel sump (in front of the tank) and then use a submersible pump in there, then run the return into the filler pipe?
i would much rather a proper solution, what does everyone else do?

There are various ways. The important thing is always to have a supply of fuel to the high pressure pump.

You can have a collector tank (tall and thin about 3 litres) outside the main tank. A high volume low pressure pump feeds this from the main tank. The high pressure pump can be submerged or outside fed from the bottom of the tank. You need a return from the top of the collector tank back to the main tank.

Or you can make a collector that goes into the main tank. This is how I did it. I have 2 low pressure high volume pumps (one in each corner of the tank) pumping into the collector. In the collector is a high pressure pump for the injector. The advantage of this is it just overflows when full and it is all contained in the main tank. It is a pain to assemble though.

The high pressure return can go into the filler pipe or the top of the sender.
