i know its not about minors, but have you seen that audi advert with the hot rods in it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ctt70KFWE1g
it made me realise how bad new cars really are. they have no character what so ever. i would own anyone one of those cars, before even contemplating the audi. What does anyone else think?
i think there is a "fenderless" ford pop in there aswell, and if its the one i think it is, it is english built and has moggie front wheels- so this post isn't totally unrelated!

I haven't watched the advert but having seen so many car adverts, over the years, I don't need to

. I suppose you only have to observe how people behave (Not least behind the wheel) to understand that sensible and logical adverts won't persaude them to buy said car. For example what was that infamous Renault Meganne adverts all about; was it really a car for ar***oles or have I missed something? Perhaps a marketing guru might say it has reminded me of the car but only by assocoation with that stupid advert, that would if anything put me off buying the car.
When Jaguar used Le Mans adverts in the 1950s or back in the TWR days, the fact that the Le Mans engine was based on the XK engine and then the V12 found in the production car made a point. Seeing a car drive past a load of people, who look like smackheads, does nothing for me

.

I can't stand the Audi cars and owners. I travel along motorways in my Morris at a comfy 50/60mph and in my escort I can do a good 70mph where the road and speed dictates. I look in my mirror and in it I see Mr impatient wanting to pass at speeds much much faster than allowed. I feel that they are very rude and everyone else is less important than him.
Sorry. Rant Over.

Yes I know what you mean; it seems to apply to other German cars too. I can't work out why and I'm sure there are some Audi drivers who aren't ******s. Back in the 1970s they seemed to attract VW buyers (People who wanted and appreciated a well built car) who wanted a bit more refinement; they weren't the arrogant spivs you see today. Did you see the white teashirt in the white Audi TT, who had been stopped by the Police today, when we were on our run? I had a smile to myself as I drove past

.

it seems that age old problem again a small few get everyone a bad name. i must say it does seem that alot of th "suits" seem to think they own the road, and don't care about other road users.
i'm sure that there are many nice audi, beemer, saab etc drivers about, you just notice the willies (and lol

)
santa, can i have a set of twin su carbs for my 1098 for christmas- i've been ever so good

Santadawes,
Sorry to hear about your bad experiences with Audi drivers. I drive an A6 Le Mans which is a fantastic machine and I haven't seen too many bad Audi driving incidents in my daily commutes over the years.
When my '52 convertible restoration gets finished (started more like) I will be most pleased to have them side by side on my drive. Classics from different eras.
Regards Ian

while at a car show this weekend i saw one of the hotrod, it was the one at the end that does a burnout and says unloved on the back and it looks and sounds amazin, but apparently they borrowned the cars and got stunt drivers to drive them round and one crashed into the wall !!!
