Don't you find the combination of Lycra, Viynl seats and the nylon carpets in most Minors cause incredibly high Static Electricity charges?
Wouldn't Silk be better? or at least a Satin

Ahh SEC's, we have been in discussion with Mclaren F1 industries about this phenomenon, and mooves are afoot to harness this power (similar to Kerrs) and use it to boost electronic superchargers when fitted to the A series 1098cc engines.
For personal comfort re SEC's simply attatch an earthing lead from your high heels to a quick release on the seat frame.

Couldnt the lead be rerouted thro the voltage stabiliser thus preventing all the arguments about dynamos. Keep takin the tablets guys

We found that using the voltage stabiliser interfered with the SEC system (something to do with backgroubd noise, feedback ? ) so only a full earthing will be advised. McLaren were very interested in the electronic servo's though, however the friction required to drive this, does cause serious chaifing of the knees. Rich had pioneered this system, during his lunch hours at work. But since his dissmisal we have taken on the full research, and its progressing very well with his guidance.

I'll keep the tights for repairing the fan belt.
The sheepskin seat covers are comfy this time of year

Sorry mate, but she's off on her skiing holidays this week, she'll be back for shearing at the end of this month, so we'll arrange a meet then.

They feel quite nice under a pair of freshly starched heavy cotton overalls, especially on a cold day. On a hot day... just go commando.

What!!! driving a Minor while wearing a 75lb Bergan and carring an SA80 with 200 rounds of ammunition?
Surely the extreme heat from the Smiths heater is in danger of setting the ammunition off!
Jonathan
Does the new SEC device mean you don't need the Ballast resistor on the 9volt Coil?
Also I've heard rumours that the High levels of static retune most radios to Radio 4 LW.

I guess thats why some cars were fitted with "crotch coolers" they were ommited from Minors though

No, the SEC is simply running to provide the power for the superchargers.
The HLS issue and the radio is indeed true, but is confined to Lincolnshire, and Wiltshire. On occasion this phenomenon has surfaced as providing HD picture images projected onto the rear screen, of high security ,military documents. Something to do with the microwave frequency used by the military in their communications.I also believe that this is why Rich developed his patented CC device to cool onboard ammunition and to offer some retardation of the heat emmited by the Smiths heater. (Note, there is now a full recal on these heaters, not before time ehh!)
