according to my newly arrived Haynes manual..

"Once a year, or every 12000 miles, it is a sound scheme to visit your local main agent and have the underside of the body steam cleaned. This will take about 1 1/2hrs and costs about £2"

Sound's a bargain - now where do you suppose my local main agent is?

Dunno if it's a great idea to 'read' the HAYNES - Mini lads call it HBOL - Haynes Book of Lies. Useful for resting coffee cup on though! Far better with the Leyland Workshop Manual for car repairs.
