is dum dum used between the front inner wing & wing to seal the joint, and a drain hole made into the dum dum. have seen this done on some travellers, not sure what to do.
Also wondering what the best disc to use with a grinder to remove the rust and cleanup the crome bumpers.

dum dum is used between the wings on both my traveller and my convertible..
i would use a wire cup brush on your angle grinder to clean up rust.. if you need to use it on your bumper i would suggest you are probably better off getting a new bumper.

the drain hole in the front wing seam should be a pressed feature in the inner wing - near the bulkhead.
At this point I've left a gap in the dum dum to prevent blocking the drain hole.
I don't know if dum dum is correct or not but it will fill the gap between the parts and keep the area watertight, so it seems a good way to do it!
