High/Low compression 1098 - How to tell the difference

Post by adritch »

Sure I read somewhere that you can tell if you have a high or low compression 1098 by looking at the engine number.

Can anyone enlighten me as to how to tell. I presume there is a range of engine numbers assigned to each. If so, can someone tell me what they are so I can find out what I have got.

Thanks,
Adam.

Part way into the engine number will be a H or an L... you can probably guess the rest from here ;-)

e.g. 10MUH####
