mmmm, didn't see a dog, the guy had grey hair and was quite old, his lady was about half his age (dirty old tinker). They had horses though?., The wheels are rather smart, there's no spare though, will have to get a spare wheel from somewhere before the MOT eh!
AS I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF YOUR CARAVANETTE
- sorry, read it as found memories of your caravanette., duhhh!!

You don't need a spare for an MoT! But if you want to borrow one anyway, you only have to ask!
Are you thinking of coming to the Potteries branch rally (18th June)? Or won't 'snail' be ready by then do you think?

cheers. Well, I got up early this morning, finished tidying up the electrics, put blue leds in the footwell and checked everything worked and it did (finally). It was time to check the engine again. I hadn't kicked he up since last year. nipped out to treat her to a new battery and poured some unleaded in her tank. FIRST time, she started up and purred like a snoring bear - beautiful. I'll keep you posted about the electrics..

Story Update
I bought an alternator from ebay and also an alternator/battery tester from screwfix. I tested the battery when it arrives and it read full and good.., so then tested the alternator that was "the problem", it tested fine and good....???
I shoved the new alternator in the back of the Snail and head off for the National Rally on friday morning. Halfway there, the red light went off and hasn't come back on since (except when you first turn the ignition on and then goes off after a short while - think like it should..)
We reckon it was because the Snail hadn't gone for a really long run until then and the alternator was a bit cranky, but all if fine and dandy now...
