There can be no doubt that Limeflower is and was the greatest colour ever to grace a Morris product. If I was brave enough I would change my OEW trav to Limeflower. But I'm not.
Great looking car.

Haha I think Limeflower is an acquired taste for me... I loved the cream colour years ago, but still wouldn't change it when given the opportunity ... My future self must've known I'd grow to love it!!
Right...penny dropped OEW...old english white? ... The cream colour..? Lovely!!

Yes ... Marina wheels... And I'm not mechanically minded at all... But i believe a Midget engine & gearbox. All bodywork, wood and mechanics were done 25yrs ago by Dad. We, husband and I getting interior in. He runs ... But way off MOT haha. Completion feels so near yet so far

I suspect your car will have the Marina back axle and front hubs, probably with Marina disc brakes up front, to match those wheels; they were a popular upgrade in the late '80s, from the likes of Charles Ware and other Minor specialists.
Quite a useful upgrade, as I gather the Marina back axle is tougher than the rather feeble standard Minor one, which suffers from broken halfshafts (mine's broken three in 160,000 miles).
If your engine is a Midget one, it will have an engine number (there should be a plate on the block below thermostat housing) beginning with 10CC... for a 1098cc one, or if you're lucky, 12CC-12CE... for a 1275cc one.

Hi
Yes - your summary sounds about right
My Dad did all that ad the body and panel stuff years ago - so I am only left with final jigsaw of entire interior to go back in.
The engine is the 1.3 - that's all I know mechanically.
Dad is a full on old car enthusiast and has a small collection of his own - I've no doubt the upgrade was a good move - but it's good to hear also.
Am aiming to be roadworthy by August ... very excited

The Marina to Minor conversions were originally carried out by CS Autoclassics who worked with Charlie Ware
http://www.motorcardirectory.co.uk/c-s- ... ar-company
I had a Ser 2 which prior to my ownership was fitted with the CS Autoclassics Marina disc brakes / front hubs including Marina stub axles and Marina rear axle / rear hubs and retained the Marina wheels.
The set up suited the car very well and the 1098cc engine helped the car along nicely.
I have a CS Autoclassics Minor to Ford adapter bell housing fitted to my competition Minor.
CS Autoclassics provided a whole range of improvements to the minor dependent upon the depth of your pocket.
I have their catalogue somewhere if I can find it.

Limeflower is a fine colour and doesn't show the dirt (at least not here in SW France!) but mine does have the dark blue interior, not limeflower seats & carpets
