sorry for not getting a pic today. dont know if i mentioned that i was taking the engine and 'box out this week, so today was taken up by removal of front end, and the engine, gearbox etc...didn't think now was the time to take pics of my car really! as it looks shocking once more!
but...hopefully by the end of the week my car will be up and running, and i will gladly take pics so that hopefully we all get them!
oh and dunketh...yes, it was the jet rover! sad that i saw the headlights before i even noticed it was jet powered! the tail lights on it also looked mildly similar, just at a different angle!

if they worked...then...this is my shabby car, massively needs a respray! but...note the long stick conversion on the ribbed box...the...ahem...legal number plate...:-S and the headlights!

Aye - they are great looking lights. Well done avoiding the dreadful looking 'crystal' headlights the Mini folk seem to think are wonderful! They make car look like Billy Bunter squinting through thick specs!

I like the tripods, they're cool.

My P4 had tripods.

The problem with most of them is that the silvering goes, and hence they do very little reflecting. I ended up fitting sealed beams, as I couldn't afford the £100 for a new set, and at the time was doing a long comute across rural wales in winter in the thing, and it was positively dangerous - sailing along at 60mph, you were constantly blinded by people with their full beam on, found that you couldn't see your side of the road atall...

I kept the originals with the car, so that if anyone wants to resilver them, they can.
