One arm, two legs, and a first-born-son? ;)
Something like that. I'd be happy with 'small garage on Orkney' rate, but now considering being an Alvis Specialist!

Jaguar charge £109.00 per hour......plus vat!

Now your talking!
Unfortunately all the Jaguars I've worked on have been a right pain. Lovely engineering but not too user friendly. Also I like Minors, so those tend to predominate at my place...

Jag I flogged for the old man not too long ago IIRC they were WAY over that - closing in on £150 PH - but in fairness that was worked on by 3 or so mechanics at once + all the fancy kit, and dealer backup - oh and smugly apart from the very last job everything previously had been done on extended dealer warranty. the £1200 new exhaust bits wasnt so bad in retrospect - was still darned unbelievable at the time though.

Moggy specialist near Ely, Cambs charges £25 p/h plus VAT, only recently gone up from £20 p/h. If it's someone he knows and it's an expensive job then he tends to work on the 'pay when you can' principal as well.

Sounds good.
I've got some friends in Ely. At that price it might be worth a visit.
I need someone who's cheap on bodywork. Mechanicals arent an issue.
Either that or I find someone whos great at bodywork but rubbish at mechanical bits and we swap cars for a bit til they're sorted.

He's very very good on bodywork! Excellent paint spraying facilities too. He might let you help, if it makes the job a bit faster it's be cheaper for you (Minor Services, 01353 662485).
