Good to welcome another van owner to the forum! and, I hope, to the club as well.
Enjoy being a van owner, I'm restoring a van too atm, allow five times as long and twice as much money as you think at first - but it's worth it!!!!

You can get the DVLA to do a vehicle search for you, it's cheap and will give you all the previous owners and all the info they hold on the vehicle.
