All right then, I will! I thought maybe it was getting too far off mechanical, or was getting boring or something... I'm enjoying it though, so why not!
Bahamas was pretty nice, I will admit, plenty of good weather... It was tiring though, I'll stand by that! I'm looking forward to just getting back to the Moggy's problems (though school restarts tomorrow, so I'll be running a pretty hectic schedule then... :-? )
Anyway, I fixed the timing case leak. That is now, as far as I can tell, non-leaking. But I'll check later today and update! Another leak has come to my attention (I'm surprised the car hasn't run out of oil!), on the oil filter- it appears that oil is coming out of the top of the filter body, where it joins the holder, and closer investigation revealed that the rubber seal is in some way snapped- getting under the car was neither pleasant nor easy in that case, with oil dripping on me and my head jammed up beside the sump, but it looks like the seal follows the join then suddenly shoots tangentially away from the body , and I can't see where it ends.
The solution is easy- replace the seal- but I just thought I'd mention it. Oh, and the filter kit came with three seals. One fitted inside the body at the seal point, one fitted outside, and one was just right and when tightened the body pressed it up against the join. (That was the one I used.) Which should I use next?
The questions I posed on the door channel stuff still stand... Pictures would be great!
The black clips push onto the metal lip of the door aperture, then the U section of the seal pushes onto the black clips.
Eh? My seal doesn't seem to have a U section... Certainly not one to which clips attach! :(

Pah bahamas - just trying to snow here in an increasing bitterly cold gale !

thread here about it & a brilliant graphic of which seal goes where

Chances are you fixed the timing chain one and it looked for the next easiest escape route.
Axolotl sent me the large version of the diagram in email if you need it just pm your email address. Not only did it make things blatantly clear also showed what had been fitted wrongly on mine.
Will sort out a door channel pic in the next 24hrs.

It's miserable here, not even anywhere near snowing, just drizzle...
I'll PM you, that would be very useful!
Will sort out a door channel pic in the next 24hrs.
Thank you! I know getting pictures up here is not the easiest thing, but I really have not the foggiest how this all slots together!

Can't wait to find out the next one...

Bonnet catch parts have arrived so today will see the addition- finally- of the complete front end to my Moggy! In which state I shall be taking her out for a drive, as soon as the oil filter leak is sorted... As yet I have been working on school stuff but later today I may finish everything!
Exciting... :D :o
