Smiths round heater problem.

Post by Grovervan »

Hi everyone, trying to get the cover off my smiths round heater , whilst in the van. The fan doesn’t seem to be working. I have a replacement rheostat but not sure how to get the cover off. Any ideas? Thanks.

If it's the same as this you remove the clips from the back, so you Will probably need it out of the van.

It's held together by some spring clips.

Thank you for your help, especially the exploded view on body service parts list.
Yes, you are right, I will have to take the unit out to get at the motor, was hoping it might just be the rheostat.
