Hi all,
Found this at an autojumble advertised as a Morris Minor wheel but the horn boss has three locking grub screws and is 110mm in diameter.
Can anyone tell me what vehicle it comes from?

Going out on a limb here... WOLSELEY!!
The 4/50, 6/80, 4/44, 6/90 and maybe 15/50 had a horn ring and self-cancelling trafficator switch mounted on the centre-boss. The centre boss was somehow kept static and didn't rotate with the wheel. Something tells me that the 6/80, later 6/90 (Series 2 and 3) and 15/50 usually had a black wheel so my money is on 4/50 or 4/44. Its not early 50's Austin as spoke spacing is wrong. Possibly Oxford MO, Six MS or Isis Series 2 but they don't look quite 'right' to me. Google has thrown up a few Rootes contenders too...

I've contacted the MG owners forum and a chap in the USA reckons it's from a Magnette. ??

Different I think. Your mystery wheel has a slot for a Woodruff key or something. Can't see it on image 'Magnette002'

Yes, definitely has a woodruff key slot at the 6 o clock position.
Also has 6 57 stamped into one of the rim lugs.
The mystery continues.

Does this mean we're looking for a motor that was in production during 1957 ?? (I like a google challenge!)

'The centre boss was somehow kept static and didn't rotate with the wheel'... The static centre bosses were attached to a long tube which passed down inside the column and was clamped to the steering mechanism. This carried the wiring and when old and worn could be a nightmare of involuntary horn blowing, invariably at the most unsuitable moments.

Morris Oxford MO??? I'm still looking for a complete set of suspension for one, if anyone ever comes across a basket case.

Hi,
I have a spare 50's Minor steering wheel, it too has a woodruff key slot but only one screw position.
Whatever it turns out to be from, it is in lovely condition, so a good buy I'd say. Certainly resalable if it doesn't fit your car.

Another possibility is the Mark 1 Land Rover - not sure if this had a woodruff keyway though.

Damn!......Mark 1 Landrover wheel has a pinch bolt and is splined!
