Thanks for the replies, looks like the Smiths RVC1-1B52-01C (in the 'Magnolia' section) with the black instead of magnolia face would fit the bill nicely.
I appreciate what you're saying, Phil, from the immediate readability factor so important in a race-bred car, but I only really want a small one to fit in with my current set of 3x 2" Smiths gauges, which are reasonably readable, set in the old glovebox position immediately ahead of the steering wheel.
What's the big red light in the centre of the dash - a low oil pressure/kill the engine pronto warning lamp?
