Series II pickup seats

What would be the correct seat colour and seat shape for a 1954 cheese grater grilled built pickup?

This would be my guess, but would be an expensive mistake if wrong

They are as close as you'll get new and off the shelf but the material isn't correct as it was a hard rexine material originally (as well as probably a darker colour) and not a modern vinyl which is what you'll get from Newton I think.

Thanks for the info, ManyMinors. I had assumed the material wouldn't have been vinyl originally, but it will come in as a close second. I've now got some samples on the way from Newton Commercial so we can see what the quality of the material is like - I'm sure it'll be good coming from them. Thanks again.

This is what originals look like, definatly vyanide as used on the cars. If you've got intact original door pulls they're the same material.[frame][/frame]

We had considered dying some seats, that are currently red or green, to try and get a better colour match. However, in the past we've found dye to not work so well for regularly used cars.
