It all works fine so with a little flywheel machining it is perfectly possible to pop a 2" main bearing Spridget engine into a 950 Minor. So should you ever find yourself with a late 1098 Spridget engine and nothing under your Minors bonnet fear not...
Yep. It's going to used by a local spinster for shopping and taking the dog on little outings.
The engine seems happy enough on the little carb at the speeds she drives at so why fit anything bigger? Now if it were my car things would be very different but I was just getting it back on the road for a friend.
And does it have the 295 head fitted? When that head is fitted to a Spridget engine - are the pistons flat top - or 'raised D' to maintain the comp ratio ?
It's got the (iirc) 202 or 206 it came with. Can't comment on the pistons fitted as I've left it together. As I said it seems happy enough and purrs along.
