Please advise, I have just bought 52 918cc series mm, the car has won con course 3 times and it was owned by Ray Newell.it has been in storage for long time in Jersey. The original clock in the glove compartment cover was not wired up. Could someone please advise me how to wire it up. It is a positive earth does it need only one wire to it I.e. The wire showing 12 Walt doc to the connection that is perpendicular on the back of the clock. I am bit of a newbie to this so please help.

I'm guessing it's not wired up because it doesn't work........

I would email Ray, I am sure that he would be delighted to know who has his old car. I have the quartz version of the clock, I just change the batteries occasionally.
Can you show a photo of the back of the clock?

When I connected the wire with the 12 Volts to the terminal and the other wire to a screw at the back the clock started working. When I closed the glove compartment it shorted out?
