Is that not what they call a ringer then ?

Just because a car has been re shelled it doesn't make it a ringer, however one should use as many of the 'original components' during the 're shell' - but just to argue a point, there is nothing to say that the car or any car similar had been legitimately re shelled and then later components added through time....leafie wrote:Rebuilt on a later shell!

Agreed, but looking at the pictures how much of the car looks to date from 1957. It could be that a later car has been given a pre1960 identification to avoid the need for an MOT.
