Yeah, im pretty annoyed to be honest, as my dog came with me to all the rallies last year, no problem. As for the deers being frightened, what utter rubbish. As for the event itself, well, what can I say. Staid and outdated like last year, with no real imagination used at all. Obviosuly organised by the older members of the club. 'takes a long time to organise'm really? its the same old same old as last year. Nothing special for the centenery.
What critisism exactly? Many people I know cant go now, because of the dog ban, and it is something that should have been taken into consideration. I wouldnt expect people to leave their children at home alone, and yes, before you ask, my dog is as important as any other human being.
Oh, just to add, my friend has a vw beetle, and yes, their events are much more fun. I love my morris too much to give it up, but part of me wishes I got a VW because of the club. But I dont have time for another classic, and I love the Morris too much.

Not every dog owner actually cares about others. I'm sorry to say where I live there's quite often mess in the back alleys.
In the parks they seem to be more responsible but I wonder if they simply feel they're more likely to be caught / reported and prosecuted for fouling there?
I'm sorry but if that is a reason then I agree with it, dog mess is extremely unpleasant, dangerous in certain instances where children are concerned and (in my view) all dog owners should clear up after their pets or not be allowed to own one in the first place.

That is a bit harsh. The committee put alot of effort into organising these events for us. Planning for this event started pretty much immediately after the last National rally and this is going to be a big event. There are a number of other Morris clubs involved in the planning of the centenary event too so just imagine the hassle involved in getting all of them together to plan the event let alone agreeing on the location/activities etc. The number of suitable venues will be limited as it needs to accomodate a large amount of vehicles/visitors. You can't please all of the people all of the time - it has to suit the majority and it's inevitable that some people will be unhappyAudrey1955 wrote: As for the event itself, well, what can I say. If you feel the VW events are much more fun then, rather than whining on here, why not drop an email to the rally organisers with some ideas. I'm sure they'd welcome some fresh input and I daresay that they'd value any help you were able to offer.
