Great read!
998cc should be 948cc I think.
Should be Ray Newell.Ray Well, who authored an encyclopedic book on Morris Minor

Very interesting. I never knew that Pakistan was such a large market for British and American cars. Good article!

Re: Morris Minor in Pakistan
Interesting story... I like the 'denters' ... and this..... " Morris Minor, in its appearance, is geometry personified. Exuding hints of femininity, it resembles a chubby-looking pretty woman with innate grace. Her body has multiple contours that are unthreatening and gentle. Still there is some subtle oddity in her profile. Our eyes, groomed in the classical perspective of beauty, trained to associate grandeur with size, finds something out-of-synch in a Morris Minor as we look at her from the front. "

Re: Morris Minor in Pakistan
What was involved in the conversion to a taxi?
I'm thinking paint job and fit a meter, anything else like heavy duty seats or springs?

Hi MarkyB! Yes, you are right. Just paint work , installing a meter and obtaining a license to operate as a taxi was all that required for conversion of a vehicle to taxi.
