I am in the process of carrying out paintwork repairs to my 1969 Morris Minor Saloon. I have been told that the colour of the original car was Almond Green - paint code GN37. Upon receiving matched coded paint from the supplier (STD) (MAC 5 BLGN37 Almond Green) Make: BLMC - Rover Group, I sprayed a small area on the front wings of the car and it appears that it is a completely different shade of green.
I have attached a picture of the N/S front wing which has had a partial repair made to it. The original colour is at the front of the wing and the repair at the rear.
Before I purchased this car it looked like it had a new front end respray and the paintwork appeared to have been recently applied. This respray was a very close match to the rest of the car. Please can anyone help me sort out the mis-match of paint?
