Forget the 1.8 Marina engine it is too heavy and will unbalance the car, plus it is much bigger than the A-series engine and so will need modifications to fit. Also none of the parts mentioned are compatible with the Moggy engine.

Best bet is to get a 1.3 marina engine or 1.3 Ital engine if you want to stay Morris.

Hmmm You two developing a telepathy? It would certainly speed up work on the cars when you're working together!

 Well, that WOULD speed up working on joint projects, BUT I think if we were telepathic then our heads would probably explode as we accumulated each other's neuroses!

Seriously though, the reason we both commented on this is it's a well known fact and has been tried for many years with very poor results.

Not that we've ever had a joint project - (In fact I've done all the work on my cars singlehandedly for at least 10 years - necessity is certainly the mother of all invention!) but there might be a joint project in the pipeline next year... and that's not just finding a new home for Cam's traveller.

Actually the car that Kate wants in the free section might fit the bill but I've promised myself not to take on any more 'projects' until I actually need another car AND I can't afford one with long MOT (not just yet then )

But ray, ray, ray.

If you got it that'd save me from being killed by my parents when they come to visit and go "but I thought you were going to clear the garage....why is the car still outside Kate?".

I figured you could get it and store it until May next year, then pay me to take it off your hands

Ray, Why dont you come with us on the 9th? I'm sure you would NOT, on seeing the car, fall inlove with it and want to take it home - and let me in on the restoration! ;-)
