About her:
we bought her in 2009 of ebay, unseen for £900. drove down to kings lynn to pick her up, to find that she had a flat battery. luckily the previous owner had a charger so we charged it up and away we went! she drove the 120 odd mile with no problems back to east yorkshire.
Pics of here when we got her(from the ebay listing)[frame]
when she got home:[frame]
solid underneath, and with 11months MOT and tax, she was a bargain. she needed tidying up on the exterior, but this wasn't a problem. Named daisy may, because she is white, and we got her in may!
after some paint, washing , polishing, new parts she now looks like this:[frame]
The list of things that we have done is massive, but some are:
new wiring loom
new steering wheel
painted doors, 2 out of 4 wings, boot, gutters, wheels, inside boot
added decals and cleaned up engine bay
new number plates
new sun visors
New drums and shoes at rear
fixed interior light
sprayed air filter
new battery
door catches
and some more......
we found out when we got her that all the leads where in the wrong positions and the timing was miles out.
every ten minute job is about an hour, because ours doesn't have that part or has a different one, or the correct spanner doesn't fit.......
she enjoyed going to the national at harewood house:[frame]
and came loaded with parts from the traders..
she is also looking forward to the national at knebworth this year!
so that is Daisy Mays story so far, but it has defiantly not ended.
Ps, any old owners of her that see this, could you please PM me of any old info or files or stuff like that? you can see the reg in the pics
Cheers
Chris
