The chassis number relates to a late 1963 traveller. The engine code 8G relates to a factory reconditioned A-series engine. The other numbers/letters refer to the job number.

No idea! Engine code 8G could be 803, 848, 948, 1098 or 1275cc. Is there a number anywhere on the engine block?

All blocks (not sure about the 803) should have the engine size cast into the side of the block; 950 is 948cc, 1100 is 1098cc.

Measure the diameter of the bore :-

803cc = 58mm
948cc = 62.94mm
1098cc = 64.58mm

Do it the easy way, look at the block behind the exhaust manifold. 948 will have 950 cast on the block, 1098 will have a plate with 1100 on it.

Well I did suggest that Kim checked the block but he says there are no other numbers on it!

Ok then...

Remove the rocker cover and check the casting number of the cylinder head. A standard 1098 one is 12G202 and a 948 one is something like 2A269

However this is not a definitive method of testing as bits can be swapped over...
