Rear brake connection

I can't find a diagram of this bit in any manuals, how do you seal the the banjo type bleed nipple to the back of the rear brake cylinder? Does it need some sort of rubber seal or just a washer?

Copper washer(s).
One each side of the banjo from memory.

Aye - it's odd there is nothing in the Manual - yet it goes on at great length about completely inconsequential things! And - although some folks weren't 'happy' when Moss came into the Minor Spares market - their diagrams are v good! A useful resource.

Ideally - if the washers have been used before - they should be annealed by heating to red and then dropping in water.

I don't know if it's relevent in this case, but sometimes you have to be careful w/the thickness of the copper washers.
When replacing the power steering hose on my son's '94 Nissan Pathfinder we used the new copper washers that came w/the hose. After the installation we started the engine and had a major fluid leak at the PS pump. There was a recess on the pump that the copper washer sat in and the new washer was too thin to seal. The edge of the banjo fitting contacted the body of the pump before it tightened up on the copper washer. The old washer was about .010" thicker than the new one, just enough to make the seal.
