Windows

Post by andygill »

Hi

How easy (or hard) is it to replace the glass in the two front doors of a traveller.

I have bought two second hand pieces of glass.

Thanks
Andy

It is not that easy, you have to remove the window runners first. To get at these remove the door card and fittings. There are two 1/4 BSF nuts on studs and a nut and bolt that hold the window runners in place. The studs are often very rusty and it can be a struggle to get the nuts off as they can just turn without undoing. Then wind the window up , holding the glass as you do and it should just pull off the top of the regulator.

Why do you need to remove the glass?? Weld splatter??
Cheers John - all comments IMHO
