Some seem to run out quite freely - others are more difficult. The fact it stinks indicates it has completely broken down - and needs to be flushed out. Can only suggest adding new oil - and continue with the bouncing - slowly flushing out the old with the new! It will however be well worth the effort - the damping will be MUCH improved!

Samuria,
A very usefull tool is a plastic syringe with plastic/silicon tubing- good for draining, filling, flushing dampers and fluids in general. I find it often comes in handy.

Excuse me if I'm stating the obvious (you didn't mention it) but have you removed the top cap and the valve behind the bottom cap?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.
