Out of control
I did not think this topic would get out of control but...
The master cylinder is back in with reversed bolts and jam nuts (about half the thickness of a standard nut). I drive about 32,000 miles per year but I think the minor will only go about 3,000miles per year so we will keep an eye on the torsion bars and keep you posted.

With thin nuts I bet you'll be fine. Well done for getting it fixed. The master cylinder is back in with reversed bolts and jam nuts (about half the thickness of a standard nut).
As for the mileage - most people over here end up driving more miles in the Minor if they get a choice, but that's because there other cars are MG's or Triumphs...
I'm not sure what it'd be like driving a Minor in the US, but I expect it would be less stressful than here (town's and cities here are rather like racetracks)
