Advise on closing Panel side to floor on traveller

Thanks Rich for posting the photos

Chicken John - would you also weld to the rear mudguard and b post or just along the spring hanger (floor) edge?

We have had this debate before, but I'd certainly not weld this piece to the car, its simply a cover panel and serves no structural use whatsoever.

Agreed Jonathon, simply screwed into place with 3 wood screws and some sealer. I have worked on 3 traveller restorations and they were all like this.

Well I looked at loads of travellers at the National. I found lots of variations but these pics are on an original unrestored traveller where the panel hasnt ever been off!!

It would appear that this panel isnt welded in place as has been said by quite a few people above.

Sorry the pics are so poor but not much clearance from grass to underside!!
