rear bronze bush
how do you get the bronze bush out of the rear of the crank shaft

The grease method worked for me on the first one I did (with difficulty) but not on the second one. I wound up breaking it up with a small chisel instead - the metal is quite soft and brittle.

I used a corkscrew to get it out when I needed too. As others have said the metal is very soft so it isn't difficult.

Oilite bushes are impregnated with oil during the manufacturing process.
From their website: "The standard stock range of Oilite bearings is impregnated with a mineral oil SAE 30 viscosity; all machined Oilite bearings and plates are supplied fully impregnated after machining."
It shouldn't do any harm to soak them again but I doubt it will have any effect.

With all your spares Dennis dont you have a spare 1st motion shaft its the ideal size and is a good clutch aligning tool as well.Alternatively get a bolt or something that is a very close fit,
