They were an optional extra.
I am not sure of the exact location of fitting but all the cars I have had with them fitted were not exactly useful for extra visibility but just looked good.

What a good idea! Think of the reduction in pollution there would be if we all took the engines out!! Now going to look for a pony and trap to go to shopping in!

oh right...proper valance. i have a proper one too, just mine is a bit sorry, so am thinking of getting a better one. saw that esm do fibreglass ones, was kind of hoping that was what you had and then you could recommend them as the best thing ever!

I recommend it cause that's what I have. For my standards it's a perfect fit. You have to be carefull not to overtighten for obvious fibre glass reasons.
