2008 LEO (Lands End to Orkney) Run

In fact I suggested this at a committee meeting, and asked if the Marie Curie could join us for part of the way.

So if anyone else wants to get sponsorship for either the whole trip or just a part of it, I'm all in favour.

Once I have had replies from all of those taking part I will post details of the route on here.

I have just told my wife he joyous news about going on a portion of the LEO and she said 'thats nice dear, i suppose i will be on holiday on my own then' pooohhh, the dates clash with family holiday so cant go but its still a good for sponsorship.

Good news!!!! Those that have confirmed that they will be participating in this years LEO Run will be povided with ferry travel sponsorship, in the form of discounted fares, by Northlink Ferries

I'm planning to hitch-hike as far home as possible from Orkney...

OK. The reason I suggested Preston is because it's on the mainline so you should be able to catch a train on Tuesday evening from there direct to Birmingham New Street. I haven't decided where to stay on Monday night yet; how about Rowardennan Lodge overlooking Loch Lomond?
