Providing that the new owner can prove absolutely that the number belonged to that car, and it hasn't already been re-issued to someone else, they can have it returned. I did that with my Armstrong Siddeleyjonathon wrote:would the number be transferable though, its not been registered since 86 so may have lost its number despite showing on DVLA's site. This happened to a customer with an old 100E.

I will have to dig it out of its resting place where it has been tucked away for the past 20 years awaiting my attention and get some pictures of it first!Judge wrote:PS Please could you put details of your car in the Members Cars area of the MM Register site so that we can all have a look?

It is a very patient car as it last saw the road in 1962 (or 68, i forget!)

Just for interest, it is still on the DVLA records. An online vehicle enquiry revealed:
The enquiry is complete
The vehicle details for JOM 97 are:
Date of Liability 01 11 1986
Date of First Registration 04 04 1949
Year of Manufacture Not Available
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 948CC
CO2 Emissions Not Available
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Unlicensed
Vehicle Colour GREEN
Vehicle Type Approval null
The information contained on this page is correct at the time of enquiry.
So as suggested, it may well reappear with a nasty age related plate before too long...

Looks very nice - quite a find that one. Was it supplied by Stewart and Arden, London by chance? Only asking as mine, which has an MM number was, though by October 49 chassis numbers were in the 27k region...WPR678B wrote:Not sure if this link will work, but i have uploaded some pictures taken today here:Judge wrote:PS Please could you put details of your car in the Members Cars area of the MM Register site so that we can all have a look?

There is no dealer recorded on the Heritage certificate and no supplier badges that i can see inside the car, so i couldn't say for sure!IaininTenbury wrote: Was it supplied by Stewart and Arden, London by chance?
